It is often called the &#8220;Modern&#8221; section, because it represents the current and future Texas. The Original Attractions included<a href=\"https:\/\/parktimes.com\/ptsarticles\/welcome\/sections\/usasection\/pettingzoo\/\"> The Petting Zoo<\/a>, a small Zoo which housed various animals that the could be feed and petted. Included were small farm animals, such as goats and a donkey, as well as some exotic animals, such as a baby elephant and giant turtle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another original attraction was the <a href=\"https:\/\/parktimes.com\/ptsarticles\/welcome\/sections\/usasection\/astrolift\/\">AstroLift<\/a>. The Astrolift was a cable car with four passenger gondolas which took riders from the Modern section to the Texas Section. Also included was <a href=\"https:\/\/parktimes.com\/ptsarticles\/welcome\/sections\/usasection\/happy-motoring\/\">Happy Motoring<\/a>, in which guest drove two seat gas automobiles around a track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/parktimes.com\/ptsarticles\/welcome\/sections\/usasection\/sidewinder-rollercoaster\/\">Sidewinder<\/a> was the parks first roller coaster and the <a href=\"https:\/\/parktimes.com\/ptsarticles\/welcome\/sections\/usasection\/missilechaser\/\">Missilechaser<\/a> was a scrambler ride. Other Attractions: <a href=\"https:\/\/parktimes.com\/ptsarticles\/welcome\/sections\/usasection\/jetset\/\">The Jet Set<\/a> was an airplane ride. It was replaced by the Big Bend roller coaster, which was added in the seventies. Other Attractions:<a href=\"https:\/\/parktimes.com\/ptsarticles\/welcome\/sections\/usasection\/looney-tunes-land\/\"> Loony-Tunes Land<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/parktimes.com\/ptsarticles\/welcome\/sections\/usasection\/cliffhanger\/\">The Cliffhanger<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/parktimes.com\/ptsarticles\/welcome\/sections\/usasection\/splashwater-falls\/\">Splash Water Falls<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/parktimes.com\/ptsarticles\/welcome\/sections\/usasection\/3dtheater\/\">3d Motion theater<\/a>, stores and a Food Court.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>USA &#8211; The Modern Section The USA Section represents Texas under the US flag.
